Description
Scientists and social scientists alike agree that the human body is a “biopsychosocial” entity. But what does this mean, exactly? How can we understand the body as not just a biological or physiological thing, but rather as a social, cultural, and political thing? For example, how can the body be used to express views about the world and to protest and resist structures of violence or oppression? How can processes of decolonization begin from the body.
