Description
Laboratory course designed to provide hands-on experience in radio astronomy through learning the fundamentals of working with common radio astronomy equipment, astronomical observations, and data analysis techniques. Students learn fundamental concepts about radio signal receivers, how they are built, and how to gather their own data. Students will learn data analysis techniques that are utilized by radio astronomers in interpreting observations. Prerequisites: PHYS 2A/2AR-B-C-D or 4A-B-C-D-E.
