Description
An introduction to the structural and physiological characteristics, molecular genetics, genomics, and ecology of microorganisms of the Galapagos Islands, the Highlands, and the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador, with emphasis on the genetic and metabolic diversity of bacteria, Archaea, and fungi and their interactions with hosts and the environment. Students must apply and be accepted to the Global Seminars Program in order to enroll. Program or material fees may apply. Prerequisites: BILD 1.
