Description
This hands-on course introduces design as social and political transformation. In it, students will learn to analyze how designed objects and environments entail political assumptions and choices, working in groups to design an intervention into some aspect of collective life that concerns them. It will include a mixture of lectures and studio-based activities. Prerequisites: COMM 10 or COGS 1 or DSGN 1 or ESYS 10 or POLI 10 or POLI 10D or USP 1.
