Description

This graduate-level course presents the workhorse spatial model used to think about economic geography in economics. We present numerous additions and extensions to the framework to study a wide variety of topics including but not limited to inequality, firm location choices, endogenous amenities and segregation, knowledge spillovers, migration frictions, interregional trade, coastal flooding, and more. Prerequisites: ECON 200A and ECON 210A and ECON 280.
