Description
This course examines the impact of U.S. and Japanese empires on the Japanese American community. Using primary sources like artwork and oral histories, we examine the struggle against racial exclusion during WWII, the postwar development of the current community, and ongoing solidarity work against current processes of exclusion, incarceration, and detention.
