Description
What is the modern global history of efforts to create small-scale utopian intentional communities? For all recorded history, people have formed small-scale, alternative communal societies—or “intentional communities”—in line with their religious, spiritual, environmental, economic, and other values. Starting with the Lomaland here in San Diego, each week this course explores the recent past, present, and possible futures of global efforts to create everyday utopias.
