Description
This course examines Chicana, Latina, African American, and Native American women’s leadership, influence, and participation within social movements in the U.S. Special emphasis will be placed on women of color feminist consciousness and their involvement in the civil rights; Black, Red, and Brown power movements; welfare rights and economic justice; and reproductive justice struggles such as battles against forced sterilization.
