Description
The thermodynamics and statistical mechanics of solids. Basic concepts; equilibrium properties of alloy systems; thermodynamic information from phase diagrams, surfaces, and interfaces; crystalline defects. Prerequisites: consent of instructor. (Cross-listed with ECE 238A, MAE 271A, NANO 265.)
