Description
Explores the business of health care and life sciences primarily from a U.S. perspective while drawing comparisons and highlighting alternate approaches from around the world. Students will gain an understanding of the roles, motivations, and interdependencies of key stakeholders such as patients, providers, payers, government, and industry. Second half of course focuses on trends, innovation, and disruption examining how stakeholders seek to address challenges and gain competitive advantage. Letter grade only. Prerequisites: MBA student or instructor approval or department approval.
