Description
Transformations in musical composition; series and intervallic structures; serial approaches to rhythm and dynamic. The stochastic music of Xenakis and Cage. Hiller’s automatic composition. Improvisational models. Computer analysis of musical style. Neurally inspired and other quasiparallel algorithms. Prerequisites: consent of instructor.
