Description
This course examines the nature of culture, its significance, and its varied meanings. Topics may include case studies of culture’s relationship to psychology, politics, media, religion, and the arts. Course may include discussion of related questions concerning culture and race, class, nationalism, sexuality, and gender. Contemporary and classical readings, drawing from philosophy, anthropology, sociology, literature, religion, and related fields.
