Description
The course introduces the fundamental concepts, principles, and methods in genetic epidemiology. The course reviews terminology used in genetics, introduces principles of population and human genetics, and provides an overview of the use of molecular and genetic methods in utilized genetic epidemiologic and clinical research. This includes the study designs used to identify the genetic basis of Mendelian and complex traits and diseases.
