PH 403. Public Health Research Methods (4 units)

Description
This course will focus on fundamental concepts in research design and measurement to understand methodological considerations in quantitative and qualitative scientific studies in public health and be able to critically evaluate public health research. Emphasis will be on creating testable hypotheses, designing a hypothetical study to test the hypothesis, and assessing methods of measurement. Prerequisites: must be enrolled in MPH program (PB75, PB87, PB88, PB89, PB90, and PB91) or program approval. Renumbered from FMPH 403. Students may not receive credit for both FMPH 403 and PH 403.
