Description
Students will develop an understanding of field epidemiology, surveillance, survey development, data collection, analysis, and presentation. They may also be exposed to planning, implementing, and evaluating age- and culturally-appropriate health promotion interventions. They will learn about cultural awareness, international travel safety, gain collaborative group experience with other institutions to carry out duties that will be put into practice during the class field trip. Prerequisites: must be enrolled in MPH program (PB75, PB87, PB88, PB89, PB90, and PB91). Students cannot receive credit for PH 463 if they have already completed FMPH 491 subtitled “VIIDAI: Public Health Field Practice in Baja.”
