Description
This course is required prior to starting an MPH practicum. This course seeks to expose students to leadership principles and reinforce effective skills necessary at their field site and in their future careers by utilizing a blend of reflective individual and module-based activities to improve written and oral communication skills prior to their practicum. Students will also learn about the various fields and organizations in public health as they explore potential practicum opportunities. Prerequisites: must be enrolled in MPH program (PB75, PB87, PB88, PB89, PB90, and PB91). Renumbered from FMPH 496A. Students may not receive credit for both FMPH 496A and PH 496A.
