Description
This course focuses on women’s attitudes about and participation in political conflict, including the recruitment, execution, and resolution of intra- and interstate conflicts, terrorism, and protest. We explore the types of gender-based violence women face (e.g., violence against female politicians, sexual violence, and conflict-induced interpersonal violence), as well as their experiences with reintegration, reconciliation, transitional justice, and peace-building initiatives.
