Description
Mixing mechanisms, their identification, description, and modeling. Introduction to turbulence, semiempirical theories, importance of coherent structures, effects of stratification and rotation on turbulent structure, entrainment and mixing. (S/U grades permitted.) Prerequisites: graduate standing or consent of instructor.
