Description
A survey of time-based practices in contemporary art, including moving image, performance, and project-based work. Focusing on the passage of time as a component of art making, this class explores ways artists use time as material, concept, and foundation for methodology. This class introduces theoretical and art historical models for understanding how time is perceived within visual art forms and offers instruction in student development of their own time-based artworks. This course is offered only one time each year. Prerequisites: none.
