Description

Systems and control theory applied to bioengineering. Modeling, linearization, transfer functions, Laplace transforms, closed-loop systems, design and simulation of controllers. Dynamic behavior and controls of first and second order processes. PID controllers. Stability. Bode design. Features of biological controls systems. A simulation project using MATLAB and an oral presentation are required. Credit not allowed for both ECE 101 and BENG 122A. Prerequisites: MAE 140 or BENG 134 or consent of department. (F)
