Description
(Same as SOCI 117) Representations of language and culture will be explored in education; explanations of students’ school successes and challenges drawing on sociocultural and linguistic factors will be considered; bilingualism, cultural transmission, and identity development through education. Students may not receive credit for EDS 117 and SOCI 117 and EDS 117GS. Prerequisites: upper-division standing.
