Description
(Same as SOCI 126) The social organization of education in the United States; the relationship between society and the functions of education; the structure of schools; socialization and cultural transmission; equality/inequality; educational decision-making; educational curriculum and testing; formal and informal education. Students may not receive credit for both EDS 126 and SOCI 126. Prerequisites: upper-division standing.
