GPPS 413. Comparative Party Politics (4 units)

Description
The course looks at how different kinds of electoral systems determine the menu of options before voters. How do those systems participate in the configuration of different types of party systems? We consider systemic party incentives to offer/pursue various policies, the circumstances around party competition and cooperation, and the likelihood of electoral and policy-making success.
